Distributor impulse buy

Hi, novice ACVW newbie here.

Building a 2056 T4 DTM plant for a 74 Karmann ghia. Twin Weber 40s, Scat C35, flyer transmission.

Bought a 021 905 205P dizzy on impulse, before thinking of its compatibility to the above. Its original fitment was stock with the type 4 2.0. However, will it still be compatible with the upgrades, especially its vacuum response?

I've run a stock type 4 distributor on my 2300cc for years ,no issue . way better than a 009 it had for a while .
No matter where you go , there you are !

did you have a difficulty with the vacuum pulsing?

Most 40 Webers don't have a ported vacuum connection (only some have a (usually fixed) pipe on some original (as used on OEM applications) italian Webers) and just sticking a pipe (or 4) into the manifold won't let the original vacuum canister work as it was supposed to be.

I use the bus type 4 CU distributor, this is a hall sender transistor dizzy, so no points and very powerfull spark.(has a special coil)
Have not hooked the vacuum it has vacuum and weigth advance in them.
Running on 2.0L with 40 webers on them.

HOOK ALL 4 CARBS TOGETHER....IF YOUR CARBS DONT HAVE THE NIPPLE, DRILL THEM AND STICK ONE IN THEM....

Some 60s-70s fords have a throttle operated valve that can provide "ported" vacuum from a manifold vacuum source.
the main thing required is having the advance shut off at idle so it doesnt idle at 2000 rpm.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
