Resistor plugs / wires?

Post by Bruce.m »

Need to pad out my knowledge.

With EFI I know I need to guard against electrical noise messing with a crank trigger lock (hall in my case).

To do this, is a set of resistor spark plugs enough or do I have to use resistor HT leads? Planning to use the VAG 106b coil pack, so will need to modify the leads.

Any suggestions for T1 stock head resistor spark plugs?

Ferrite cores is perhaps another option. Where is a good place to use them? Main battery feed or …..?

Thanks all.

Yes resistor plugs are the way to go and here in the UK I don't think you can buy non resistor plugs. if you have an ECU with a USB comms the noise will play havoc with it not so much the crank signal unless you have a plug wire in direct contact with it
