German EFI Endcastings to Modern Injectors

Post by kangaboy »

Simple question, as I don't have a pair of stock German EFI End Castings in my hands, can they be adapted to modern size (14mm) injectors? Do the current ports just need to be milled larger, or sleeved smaller..? Lemme know.

You can just make some cup adapters and loctite them in

Ok, so the original ports are too big then, and need to be sleeved up to the correct diameter?

No, the German endcastings used smaller injectors, I have a stock set and set that I machined for modern injectors. I can get measurements if you like, the tubes are very small I would think 1641cc motor max. I keep thinking about a 1500cc EFI/turbo motor would probably work well with these.

Yes they are smaller and probably have a 10mm hole also I wouldn't expect more than 70 hp out of the intake. Regular 1600 dual port intake is only good for 100 hp max

Thanks for the follow up gents. I went ahead and got a pair in the mail for $55. Going to do some tinkering when they get in town, and then put them on a 1914cc that I have in a rail buggy. It will be a single throttle body with a turbo on it, so I'll let you know how the little runners work out on it
