Hey, everyone. Slooooowly going through the motions of this build and I'm soon going to tackle the transmission. My Subaru trans is TY757VCCBA from a 2006 Legacy Outback with 1st - 5th gears of 3.454, 2.062, 1.448, 1.088, 0.871 with final drive of 4.111. The VW is over 1000 lbs lighter and will have more power. I'm not making a track monster or anything brutal, just a (hopefully) "reliable" driver on the highway and city streets. I'm torn between 3.9:1 and 4.11:1 from Subarugears. Any thoughts?

Tire size?

Yeah, small detail I left out - 25 inch tire. I got hold of Todd and, in general, he says that he leans towards 3.9 ratio for turbos. Loads turbo better and a little extra leg for the highway. I'll likely go that route when I can get some personal matters resolved.
