Generator D+,D-, DF, what goes where?

Generator D+,D-, DF, what goes where?

Bought a rebuilt generator, unlike exchanged one. Old Gen has 2 wires to + on regulator and one wire to F on regulator. Rebuilt one has DF as copper end wire, D- goes to brush, D+ is insulated to windings. I did not study the interior of the old one. Anybody know what goes where now?
