1ST PHASE buy these:

Buy a donor VW beetle 1302 frame complete with paperwork or a Buggy
Order 356 Porsche kit car body complete tub windshield bumper door handle hinges and subframe
Subaru EJ20 EJ207 EJ22 EJ25 engine with transmission and wiring looms
Conversion kit for transmission and cables
Air suspension kit and disc brake kit 5x205 for VW beetle
Electric power steering
Universal AC
Nardi Porsche steering wheel
Lamps, badges, side mirror, knobs, and small accessories
Audio system (optional)
Wheels and tires
Low bow soft top mechanism cabriolet
Paint Job
2 Custom seats
Interior work leathers
Gauges that can work with Subaru engine conversion
Kilmat for sound dampening (optional)


2ND PHASE Installation Process:

VW beetle strip down to frame sandblast, shorten, welded and powder coating
Put air suspension, disc brake, wheels tires make rolling chassis
Subaru engine pre-install wiring transmission convert to transaxle
Install Subaru engine and tranny to the frame
Test run the engine and transmission
Install electric power steering rack, AC lines, shift knob, hand brake
Install subframe and 356 tub all the lamps pre install, door and hinges
Install gas tank, air tank for air suspension
Install Steering column, battery, gauges, and seats
Install Kilmat (optional)
Test run the car
Working on all the cables managment hiding and switches for lamps and electrical
Install audio system (optional)
Install all the door knobs handles and accesories before upholster the interior for checkin
Paint the whole body, and some accessories if needed


3RD PHASE Interior Finishing:

Send the rolling car to upholster design and materials
Order and install softtop Low Bow cabriolet

Some thoughts!

What do you mean by "sub-frame"? Not sure what a 1302 pan/frame is as that can make a difference.

What is it going to be used for.

A cage structurally stronger and safer is better than a "Hoop". A hoop needs to be braced in several direction too.

How much $$$ do you plan on spending as that is usually tied to "what is it going to be used for".

my concern is radiator, water piping, heater pipes for the engine, anyone with subaru 356 replica build on this forum?

I would double check the use of square tubing. There are + and - to each style of tubing and what it is being used for. Square tubing is more difficult to bend and can have different structural strength in certain uses. The radii on tubing also has it's pluses and minuses including the area of use in certain applications.

Do a search on bending square metal tubing and it does give some ideas on how to do it and what kind of tubular square metal (wall) bending, but it also talks about the drawbacks too. Remember that you are dealing with the bending of the upper metal and lower metal (stretch the upper side of the tube (wall)and the bottom pard of the metal compresses. The sides stretch on the upper part and compress on the lower (wall) part and then there is the radiuses to deal with.

Round tube is a bit easier but you still have to deal with the stretching and compressing of both the inner and outer surfaces (wall) do deal with.

alright sub-chassis won't be a problem now

After done a little research on the radiator cooling lines, and i found a couple of setup i don't know which setup is the best for the radiator, but air suspension lines radiator lines fuel lines can go below the chassis.

found a speedster subaru turbo engine, trying to figure it out how the turbo set up goes



he's using water to air intercooler which i think is the best since the trunk compartment is small and no air curculation

got another question subaru "coolant crossover assembly" from the radiator with electric racing pump, anyone got info where to get this off the shelf?
