Inner axle gear play?

Rear wheels off the the ground, blocks underneath the shock posts. Is there to be any play at the inner axle gears? I am getting noise while turning tight corners. When I shut the engine off it makes a grinding noise. Thanks

It is a vw trike, which has been sitting in a garage since 1985, what the reg.tags tell me. Lots of seals need to be replaced. Engine mounts?

Have about 2,000 miles on it since up and running. A few 200 mile treks with it. Recent trans noise now.

Solved through prayer. Was lead to the doghouse fan 36mm loose nut, making all the racket. Thank God, no teardown!
