I'm trying to set up a set of Weber 34's on my Bug and it seems like the amount of gas in the filter is not enough to keep up with the carbs. Is the stock fuel pump enough or should I consider an eletric pump? I'd really appreciate and advise or tips anyone could give.
Thanks alot and Happy Buggin'
Mike

Your stock fuel pump is fine for these carbs, shoot, I've heard of people with the stock pump on dual 48s, and it works fine. check your jets, you might need a bigger one. And thats a problem (i've been told) with the baby-webs. Jets can be sometimes hard to fine, but check with a VW shop, they can probably help ya.

Make sure that your current stock fuel pump isn't suffering from some sort of "delivery restriction". A pinhole leak in the pump diaphram or a bent pushrod could both contribute to low fuel flow, which often isn't enough for even a stock single barrel at higher RPMs.

The filter is see-through and the gas level is much lower inside it than it was with the stock carb.
