gas line for '65 beetle

i have a 1965 beetle and the gas line is stopped up. it looks like it goes through the frame of the car. it looks hard to change out... everything has been tried to unstop it. i was wondering if anyone could tell me what to do and how to do it??????? thanks alot, Dwadec
