the rear brakes on these are tricky to adjust correctly , try backing the adjusters all the way in then adjusting them out one click per adjuster at a time - time consuming but it works for problem trucks .
You DO know there's two adjusters per wheel right ? not trying to be smartass here , O.K. ?

...the pedal is still a long way down 3-4 inches off the floor any advice or suggestions.
Does the pedal get harder and higher up if you pump it fast a couple of times? If so, then there is air in the line somewhere...if not, thensomething is wrong with the master cylinder or wheel cylinders (do your wheels turn easily after pressing on the pedal?) Just some ideas. K-Ghia
