putting a T4 engine in a T1

I am wanting to put a T4 engine in my 72 super. Just need to know what i need to do if anyone has done this? OR if it would just be easier to put 2.0 jetta out of a 96 into it i have both engines. i have everything for both also. i know i need an adapter plat for the 2.0 to the stock tranny. let me know

Yes tons of people are putting Type 4 motors in their type 1. You need to go the the "Type 4rum", and thats all they do there.
