I'm busy putting a Ford Essex V6 3.0L into a bug.
It is going to be mid-mounted with a transfer box taking the power down to the gearbox.
What I need to know is how much torque can a standard Type I gearbox handle?
What pressure plate and clutch can I safely use?
The stock Essex V6 3.0L puts out 140 HP @ 240 N.m (177 foot pounds).
