Can you run dual carbs on a single port motor and is it worth it?
Thanks Eric R

Yes you can but they will have to be small throats. Do a few upgrades, dist, exhaust on your single port and save your money for a bigger d/p motor. Tim

I've got a bone stock older GEX (YUCK!) rebuilt 1600 SP that I just installed new heads on and will shortly be converting to dual Kadrons.
Many people run a similar setup, some also add a hotter ignition, better flowing exhaust, and even a healthier cam. But you gotta know where and when to stop! The potential for breathing IS limited, but you can develop outrageous amounts of low RPM torque (isn't that redundant?)

I agree with Ant.
The way I see it, is if you have the carbs, or a line on some cheap ones, go for it. If not, go for the DP heads first. You can always go and sell the carbs to someone else later so that you can have your cake and at it too (I always hated that saying!).
