i'm in the planning stages of a modern version of an oldspeed engine (read: affordable + accessible -- ive no desire to hawk my cameras or spend my youth chasing car parts)...
looking for ways to incorporate affordable oldspeed accessories and performance upgrades to a more modern engine (not yet built 1776)... so far, dual kadrons (not old, but old-style with the perfed cleaners), porsche H-filter, abarth exhaust... so that's my plan. i've a 63 ragtop... not too old, not too new.
been seeing some judson magnetos around. wondering if they would be compatable with a 009 with pertronix (?). do they work better with other ignitions/dists? what is their overall benefit other than a hotter spark (even guessing on that one)? what is the theory behind real magnetos and how does this magneto coil differ? enquiring minds want to know...
