Okay, maybe opening a bag of snakes here...
Are these really reliable? Who makes a good street setup?
* 914 2.0L, 96mm P&C @ 9.3:1, 44/38 valves, stronger valve springs, ported heads, dual 40 Webers, SSI, Crane Hi-6 & Nology wires. Street use, 6000 rpm redline (usually).
Does need to pass smog every 2 years. Getting tired of endless valve adjustment in the SW desert.
So - are there hydraulic cams that are reliable and make good power?

Thanks! Talked me out of it. The hydraulic rockers/lifters work so well on the 993 Porsche engine (yes, I know, very different) but I was hoping there was a similar, reduced maintenance option for the 914.
