I have read that people remove the exhuast valve guide. i guess they can crack and suck into the turbo or cylinder. if you look on CLF under head porting it shows the heads minus the exhuast guide.

How does the removal of the exhaust valve guide strengthen it? If you are not running that much boost (no more than seven) then you do not have to remove it. I think its removal causes shortened valve life. I have run seven pounds with the exhaust valve guide in place without any problems. Since I am turning the boost up to 15lbs I think I should remove the valve guide just for safety. I have to change the rings and lower the compression even more. I have a fairly thick head gasket, but the compression is still pretty high.
oh well, anyway, have fun with the turbo xperience
