Hi i'm using a 915sc transmission that has 100mm cv flanges and i am going to use bus cv joints and swayaway axles. I was wondering is the two cv joints bug and bus have the same splines so that i can use the easily availble bug swayaway axles.

Thanks

oh and if anybody has 944 stub axles or thing stub axles for sale please email me [email protected]

I run a 6-rib trans, type 2 CV's, mod beetle axles and mod beetle stubs. The type 1 and type 2 CV's have the same spline pattern, but the type 2 is about 5mm wider and therefore requires a wider seat on the axle.

I am running about 250hp with hard use and I have not broken one in a dozen runs. Broke everything else but the CV's have held up.

They will handle the same power as far as my eye can tell. The only difference is the t4 is wider with longer grooves and will work at higher angularity than a t2. The guts are virtually identical in all other dimensions.
