Clearcoating wheels?

I want a nice shine from my wheels...can I clearcoat them?

They Actually have clear Powder coating now... I heard it works great..

Resto motove the same people that make por 15 makes a clearcoat for chrome and aluminum thats great I did my rimes 3 yrs ago and they still look good

Clearcoat will take away the shine on the paint. I used clear paint over chrome paint on the wheels of my jeep. It totally painted over the clear because it faded the silver.

I was talking to Ray Henry at Pro Powdercoating (
www.propowdercoating.com) the other day, and he told me that with clear powdercoat, you'll lose about 10% of the shine on your rims - but you'll never have to polish again.
