Hello,

I've a problem with rust in the roofgutters of my '77 camper. The worst part is in the front section (where the fixed part of the Westfaliaroof is situated). There the gutters are almost totally chipped off . What can I do? Is there any replacement metal available?

I have similar problem with type 1 - I suspect caused by a roof rack that was left on for months or years by the previous owner. I ahve been putting off dealing with the problem while I replace heater channels, brakes and get the engine working but fast coming to the time when I have to sort it out before the car is back on the road. I am contemplating cutting bits out of a donor car (if I can find one) but a bit disapointed that the spare parts catalogues do not offer a replacement part. I am pretty sure that my attempts to repair will end up less than perfect.
