the ghia has a stock porsche 2.0 liter engine, and a stock '73 type 1 tranny. both are about due for a rebuild after being beat on so much.

as far as suspension, i am just running kyb gr2 shocks, a big front swaybar, and dropped spindles. the rear is only lowered one notch. i have front and rear disc brakes on it, unfortunately with no e-brake. and some 16x7 inch wheels with nitto drag radials in the rear and street tires up front. front and rear tires are 205/45/16.
it is not a great choice of tire for the track, but that's what's on the car and i'm only doing it for fun. soon i will put some real autocross rubber under it and maybe finally be able to break the rear end loose in the turns! those drag radials sure are grippy, but they have a lot of sidewall flex.
i guess having the front lower than the rear helps with the lift. i have had it up to 110 mph and it doesn't feel like it's floating. i don't think ghias are nearly as bad as bugs.
