how much slop should the cylinder have in the case?
When i built my 2276 the cylinders seemed loose, but i checked on a stock 1600 case and the stock cylinders seemed to have the same amount of play.
I know that its for expansion, but there must be a spec for it?

This is not critical but most set it at .005 / .010"
If to tight the cylinders can be hard to remove later on, and if to loose you are loosing seating surface. Vic. www.vwhelp.com
