mini Bug or manx body

Post by mightymanx »

Hope you folks can help. I am trying to make some tow vehicles for my drag manx and my wife's drag bug because Quad runners have no style !

I know they have made mini go cart bug bodies, {manx bodys I don't know}. I can't find them  been looking for 3 years I know this is sort of a one off subject but I have exausted all other options except for a $5000 custom mold being made ( that's the cheapest i've found)

Thanks

There used to be a link available for a mini manx which was a smaller version you could put on a custom made or gocart chassis, it was available from the meyers manx club out of the UK, the link doesnt appear to work any more. Here it is anyway:

http://www.thegecko.org/~manx/mini_manx/index.shtml

You can also try this website:

http://www.sdbc.co.uk/

I think the person who maintains this website also did the other.

Hope this helps

I've been kicking the idea of a working lawn mower, with a funny car style mounted body. So far all I have is an eye on an abandoned rear engine lawn mower.

Then again, I want to know where the buses came from. http://www.shoptalkforums.com/viewtopic ... highlight=

bugvert, all I saw were "normal" sized, any deep links?

I emailed the guy who originally did the webpage for the mini manx and he said that Mel at manx buggies uk sold the moulds for the mini manx along with the original manx mould he had.

They are now made by a guy called Rob at a company called East Coast
Manx.

You can give him a call at 01553 631180

Its in the UK, Im not sure how much it would cost to ship, but if you buy a few to save on shipping charges, Im sure you would have no problem selling them here in the US. :)

Sideshow I like the bus's, I want one of those too!

Mofoco in Milwaukee had something like this they were promoting at last year's shows. I think the cost was about $300.

They have a toll-free number.
