How do you insure this thing. I called Hagerty and they will not insure me. State Farm will not insure me. I don't know what to do. Do I hire a SEAL team or what?

Did you try Grundy? Also, what reason did the company give for not insuring you?

Oh, I don't have a personal garage and I told them I would drive 5000 miles a year.

What do I need to say to get insurance?

How do I get the coverage if I don't tell them that the engine is modified?

Do I just say I want to insure it for $30,000 and let it be?

They wont say I crazy?

Don't ask dont tell will not get your engine replaced if it gets totaled. the only way to get coverage is to lie about your use and go with Grundy, (no milage restrictions) They will insure modified power.

So Ron I can tell them that I want to drive 20,000 miles a year and they don't car?

Lie about use...........What is there to lie about if there are no milage restrictions?

I'm not going to use the car to rob banks or anything like that.

David, did you e-mail anyone about protecting your car? I sent ya a PM!

They don't want you to use it for running errands, going to work, etc. You can drive 20K a year but it has to be in parades and pleasure rides. Don't try to make sence out of it. This is something lawyers and insuracnce co. come up with. It is beyond normal common sence. Hang on, I'll switch to my other brouser where I have a web site I visited with the no milage restrictions.

So I can say it's a show car and that it is used to promote business for a number of friends (undisclosed names: engine builder, paint and body guy, sound equipment installer, ect,ect...)?

I think that will be my LInE.

Maybe not the promote business stuff that sounds like they would give me a hard time about something. I'll just say it's a show car....well, it is.

Garage kept, next to my other car and a FEW more.
