Will the KCFI have the look of the factory system. Just curious. Just thought it would be neat to make it look like a stock 914 engine but it runs like a ?6!!

It absolutely can, according to tune of the engine and cooling system choice
we are making a Plenum that will use standard 2.0 runners that are shortened and allow up to a 75mm throttle body to be used, or stock. It will be fiberglass so just cut the holes you want and go from there!

My system on the 912E looks 100% stock unil you see the serial cable protruding from the stock brain box! Mine was a custom job that Dave did for me, so if you want it to look that stealth you may need to do some of the work yourself..

I have been looking at the new website, and it looks good.
The single plenum EFI for use with the DTM would be a good thing, specially if one wants to add a little turbo to the works.

Any more info on the KCFI?

Its being tested every day. I put 400 miles on it over the weekend...

My set up looks 100% factory, just visualize that and you don't need any pics..

Total stealth till you see the laptop. When the laptop is disconnected no one would know its there.

Hmmm, wonder what the cost for that system would be. Any testing soon on a turbo? need a guiney pig?

The other system being tested is in a Turbo 914.

Trust, me I have received hundreds of emails on this system. Many of them I have not answered simply because we lack data, and we also lack product to sell.

This will be the ONLY EMS designed by a VW person, for a VW aircooled application, and it will come as a 100% ready to go kit set up for the engine that you will be installing it onto. I also plan on selling one version of it that is the brain and electronics only, but if you choose to go that way, don't ask me for any assistance!

Dave, I bought an old Dell Latitude CPi D233ST laptop to (hopefully) program your EMS. You mentioned that I should look for a laptop with a RS232 port but I don't think this laptop has one so do I have to buy some kind of cable that will adapt the laptop's USB 1.0 port to RS232?

Yes they make USB to RS 232 adapters but you dont need one, you should have 2 SERIAL connectors on the back. They are 9 pin D connectors. A serial interface is the same as an RS232.
