Well.......I got home from work last night and lo and behold - there was a package from FedEx marked "from Jake Raby".

I'll tell everyone here the same thing I told Jake on the phone last night.....

I opened up the box....and almost dropped a load in my drawers.

It's gotta be one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

I got started late on the install - I hope to have it buttoned up tonight.

I'll try to post pics - but - I'm also in a thrash to get this car done and loaded for the Cinci show this weekend - so the pics "may" come after the weekend - depends on how much time I get.

Thanks again Jake - it was money well spent.

This is the best development we have ever made with the Type IV DTM... It looks cool and functions cool as well!

Dave,

The BAS header was on the 2110 Type1 motor.

The Type4 motor has J pipes and a header from Lee at L.A. Performance and a muffler from AC.net

bmd does make them for type 1's, i saw a bug at the las vegas show with that set-up and it was really good looking. wouldn't mind a set-up like that myself.

I did the test work for the guys at BMD. Their product is great and just needed one refinement on the idler bearing. I blew the first ones apart for them... They have replaced them with a much better bearing now.

These are BMD pulley that we have to extensively modify as well as do some welding work on the generator stand.

Thanks Jake....We sure did appreciate you running our pulleys on the Dyno and pushing them to their not so legal limits. In addition to finding the bearings with an even Higher RPM rating we did some minor adjustment to the idler pullley to alleviate that problem. Out of the first 100 kits we sold besides yourself, one of our customers had a similar problem and that was two too many for us so the improvement was made, and seems to have worked out great.
We do get a few requests for information on adapting them to the type 4's so I will continue to refere them to you as we deal primarily with the type 1 customers..Modifications are usually unnecessary with the type 1...even if you have the bolt in sand seal,,
We had to miss Vegas but our pulleys were there and I am getting some good pics back in our email.

Yes, it will work.

It is much more difficult for me because I must use your Generator stand and due to Joe's aluminum used for the castings not being a pure 356 it is very difficult to weld on.

my65notch has a Joe shroud and I did his just fine..He sent me his stand

The mods are a full days work for my shroud guy and then I have to do all the welding. Its not simple, but man does it work great!
