These puppies are amazing! Look at that odd valve train and weird coatings on the valves..
If you look close you'll even see valve stem seals, something thats unheard of today but made possible by the friction reduction properties of the DLC coatings that you can see here.

Its being assembled starting tomorrow and will be dynoed in the next two weeks....

These puppies are the next level of TIV development, all the best ideas from all the basic TIV head designs ever produced all compiled into one unit....
These heads are KICK ASS! Len out did himself on the work! Lookin to put this 2316 in the "200 club" on pump gas as a daily driver.

Not on those!
Them are "borrowed" from another very **nice** engine.. same with the retainers and valves...
Len did alot of research on these and alot of extra work on this initial pair to make it all work out..
It has Titanium pushrods, lightened ceramic lifters, lightened rockers and the works..
And now its gettin Nickies...

AMC does make 1700 register head castings. You can get them bare or loaded. Hmm... Actually, the "bare" ones might still have guides and seats; I forget. (It's been 3 years since I saw their booth at the SEMA show and got the price list.)

Very, very nice heads. Indeed impressive work, especially I like there is still quite a lot of meat around the exhaust port, which should make the head very long lasting, despite the porting work. Very gentle slope in the exhaust path: excellent!
They should flow very well indeed.
Are those 42x38 valves? The ratio exhaust/inlet valve seems a little more biased towards the exhaust than usual combo's judging the pics, but I could be wrong.
The remake of fins where the old sparkplug hole was, is also very beautifully done!

The 42 fed very well- Plenty! We were originally going 44 but we changed our minds mid stream..

For $15,000 clams for the first one, they will!
Then they are about $500 each head, if ordered in 100 count batches....
Then you gots about $1000 in finish machining and parts...
SO, you gots $1500 per head, AFTER the initial $15,000, invested per head.
I think Len can make you a set cheeper!
Don
