WOW-WOW-WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by MASSIVE TYPE IV »

I'm only on the third exhaust system, and already the wow factor has amazed me!

We made a MUFFLER change and LOST 17HP!

This is amazing! So far the A-1 has proven to be VERY strong!
We are bolting on the BAS now, and then will finish up with the Tangerine in both 1-5/8 and top it off with an 1-3/4 system.

BTW, 5 times in a row the 2.5" Magnaflow has made equal power of an open stinger, with tons more torque and better efficiency..

Best power so far has been 176 ponies@6K and 175 lb/ft of torque at 3500! This is one nasty 2270!

Different....

Its not any version, its a test beast.

BTW- The "C" version is no longer, I superceded it and the new one is called the Performer.

It's good to know that Tiger's reputation is reflected in his design and work. I guess it paid off with the trips and phone calls to get that header and muffler designed.

Jake, did you get the next size up muffler too from Tiger? If I remember right, he said the 2.5" was good for about 180hp, I think. So you might want to get one of his 3" mufflers to compare. Just a thought.....

Yes, we have tested a 3" Magnaflow- It sucked!

The 2.5" is the absolute best thing in the world for that header!

As soon as we pulled it off the dyno I took it out in the yard, wet it down to cool it and got it boxed and shipped so he can make a couple of physical changes with the tubing and get it all jigged up for mass production!

Now we are moving on to the Tangerine realm!

Results will be posted later on my site, I will post all the comparative graphs.

That is some awsome torque Jake! Thats just plain  I like it around 3500 more than 4000, especially when you are still getting power at 6K. What kind of car is this engine designed for?

I believe the BAS has longer primaries, and is tuned for higher rpm. Where the power is will be as interesting as how much.

The A-1 just spanked the BAS..

In open header test and with mufflers!

I am trying to rig up the BAS to use the same magnaflow muffler for a direct test now..

This is VERY hard to believe!

This poor engine...........

WOW AGAIN!
The repeatability of the tests is amazing!

We literally have numbers within tenths of 1HP from system to system...

Wait till you see this!

I can't wait to see the numbers of all of them. Have you done the Turbo Thomas one yet? The FAT system?
