Have a '72 super looking to get painted. Not much body work, nice paint/clear coats, no metallic. Paint full body, doors, hood etc. Looking for the best job I can get up to $2k.
Can anyone recommend any good painting places in the Bay Area, California? I'm near San Jose. Don't really want to tow to Sac, but if i have too i might consider.

thanks

Do your own prep work, buy any marginal trim pieces, then take it to a pro;

It sounds like you have a reasonable project and budget. How about trying a google tool http://www.google.com/lochp?hl=en&tab=wl&q= to find a shop? Or better yet any local clubs have a favorite?

i live in stockton and i went to school at delta college..... you can either go there and only pay for the supplies and paint or take it to a shop and have to pay for the labor too..... best bet on a paint job would be to go to delta... they don't let the first years on the cars...... but the ones who are painting are good.....

email me, there's a guy in fremont who did my bug, and does all vw's, he might be able to get it done for 2 g's if there isn't much body work.
