I visited Aircooled Technology yesterday and got a pretty good video of my first ride in a fast bug...it just so happened to be Jake's 3Liter!

But the video doesn't do it justice, the feeling was unbelievable. The first time he hit it, I wasn't expecting it and I was really testing the durability of that low-back!
The shop was awesome, and very unique to say the least; everyone was nice too.

The video does not do it justice at all! But I think whats even more crazy than the power is how smooth the powerband is. With so many engines we build they have a"come on point" but this one doesn't it literally is on all the time, right off idle.
After Mugsy left I hopped in the car and drove it 105 miles to Beth's house smooth as a kitten.

the header on the 3 liter for now is an old phoenix with 2-1/16" primaries coupled to a 3" magnaflow.
I should have the EFI installed in 2-3 more weeks and cn get rid of those 48 dells that are WAYYY too small in exchange for 52mm Jenvey throttle bodies and that should add tremendous power.
I plan on trying to drive it all through the sumer before tearing it down for a cam swap and wear inspection. At that time I will make some mods to the heads that will allow us to run a ratio rocker and pick up another .110" of valve lift.
As it stands the power output just isn't enough, but I have gained valuable information from this combination especiallyfor future super sized daily drivers.
BTW- The DTM keeps this baby even cooler now than before, after it was all broken in all the temps have dropped about 5% average.
Yesterday it broke 3,800 miles since it was installed,(7 weeks ago) its my primary driver now as I swap some things on the 912E including the FI and tranny.
