Opinions needed for 2110 upgrade?

About to collect some parts for my engine upgrade and i need opinions. My current spec in my late bay van (done under 10000):

*Scat forged 82mm chromoly crank
*90.5 B&P Mahle
*Stock ss valve sizes, 3 angle grind, HD springs
*110 engle cam
*40 DRLA's
*SS 4 into 1 1 5/8" header with SS J-tubes and SS turbo muffler
*7.9:1 comp
*standard 1.1:1 rockers on CB bolt up shafts
*Scat i beam rods

This provides really good instant torque but it feels a little out of breath higher up the rpm. I want more power but it's got to be reliable, torquey and a good spread of power... mainly mid-low with a little more top.

The 2 main suggestions I've had are:

1) *Scat Pro street heads 40x35.5 with dual springs (slightly ported)
*c45 cam
*1.25 rockers

2) *Similar heads
*FK 8 cam
*1.4 rockers

I'm considering doing the upgrade myself but have only done top-end rebuilds (stock 1600's)...is this a little too adventurous? Would i also need to replace anything else whilst the case is open e.g cam followers etc???

I have a 2110 with 40 DRLA w/CB updates an FK7 cam 1.4 rockers
CB ported 40x35.5 heads and the rest about the same as yours,
it has lots of mid-range, good low end pull and revs hard to about
6K. It is a great offroad engine.
