A-1 feedback......

Post by MASSIVE TYPE IV »

Hey guys, since most all the A-1 systems have either been delivered or installed I need some feedback and I need pics installed in cars...

So, do you have any gripes with the system?? What did you encounter while installing it? Any challenges?

Let us hear it- Tiger and I went through a ton of development, let us know how we did!

Easy to install, #3 was a blond hair out, but no big deal.

I'll be installing a 2nd system very soon, my pallet from Jake should be here tomorrow.

Kudo's to Tiger and Jake! 8)

You have my coments on it. No complains. Pics posted too.

The one thing that I would love on the system(and this is just me) is a thicker pipe for the stub pipes. Not all that neccesary, but would help seal better. No issues with my system yet.

Instructions need more elaboration. Overall, great f-ing system. :D

I was wondering about gaskets where the stubs meet the header. There is a soot pattern on the flange as if it was blowing some exhaust out between the flange on one of them.

Other than that I'm just glad it was so easy to get!

I am working on clear directions, but I need to install a couple more systems before I can see all the challanges..

The surface where the stubs and header meet should not need a gasket, they are surface ground totally flat, just make sure that they are evenly tightened as not to warp the surfaces and you should be fine..

Yup, those flanges are way thick! I actually meant the stub-to-head part.

I have something drafted Jake, if you want to take a look at it.

Jake...

Rebecca drop-shipped them to an assembler friend...... He does very nice work... We'll have dual FRDs on a 914 engine... sitting outside of the car on a pan for at least a year...

I can do a car-porn quality photo shoot for your assembly manual when it comes time.

Not I got was "GREAT PIPES --- Definately A1!!!"

Jake....

The 914 should be back in a few weeks... we can take any shot you're needing (with or without shrouds).

It will have a Cali Conversion on it.... I'd be willing to throw a DTM on it :D :D :D

Let me know the photos you're needing.... this car won't be bodied for a year.... full porn access.
