Tranny for a turbo motor

I'm getting ready to buy a trans for my Manx with a 2332 turbo efi. It will be driven on the street w/occasional stop lite and drag strip racing. Should I go with close ratio gears or use a carefully planned set of wider ratio gears?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Go with 3.88 R&P and stock gear ratios for best use of Turbo.

I agree. For a car that sees mostly street use, street gears make sense. If you plan on frequent trips to the drag strip, consider a close ratio Berg 5-speed. A close ratio 4-speed is horrible for any sort of highway cruising.
