Since CB Perf has increased the size of their hideaway exhaust system from 1-1/2" to 1-5/8" I can now consider it as an option for my 2332efi intercooled turbo motor rather than fabbing a system form scratch. However it's still limited to the T03.
Can the T03 be modified to provide max.perf on a 2332 street engine?...I want 10-15lbs of boost and hold it to 6500rpm before it falls off.
For those who have the hideaway exhaust..can the turbo flange be cut off & replaced with one to fit a T04 and still fit behind the rear apron?
How about the hybrid T03/04 or is it T04/03??
If one of the above is not an option then I will go back to plan A which will consist of installing a 1-5/8" merged header and running a 2-1/4" 90' back under the car to a T04.

T03 versus T04
Turbonetics can mod the exhaust housing to fit a higher flowing wheel on your to3
To4 will not fit behind the apron
The hybrid would fit with a small oval cut out of the rear apron.
I have a 2110 with the CB kit and can push 20 psi till 5500 rpms than its like the motor hits a wall can't get the gases out I?m having my housing done this fall.

My bug is a 67, but I've converted to the 66 & earlier rear apron and decklid. Since the decklid goes farther down over the apron than the 67 will the oval hole be visible below the decklid or in the section behind the decklid? Keep me informed of your progress and the specs of your hybrid T03.
Thanks

I?m not running the hybrid but I did size it up along with a to4
It appeared the deck lid would hide the hole for the hybrid. I made my apron removable, makes life much more enjoyable.

T03 versus T04
My local turbo expert who has a lot of experience in building turbo kits for H20 VWs is recommending that I go with a used Volvo T03 and have it rebuilt with a A/R .60 compressor housing.
He said this will build 15+ lbs boost on my 2.3L. Up to 6500rpm no problems!
