Well, for me, it wasn't a matter of winning, it was a matter of weitherSantas Brother wrote:I was all set to bid,

Didn't figure I was going to win that one.
or not I would have driven up the price!
I kinda knew that the bids would get out of my league(Ima CHEEP bastid!),
so I spread the word to a friend, that I thought could use the item.

HEHE. Now I know what I would want for Xmas if my budget allowed me to.
Jake, any plans of getting the 3.0 into production? or still testing?
By the way, did you get my PM?
I basically wanted to ask if going with the 14* or 16* advance total at the dizzy, and set the difference with 12* or 14* initial would be better with this camshaft I have in the 2270. I know I'm asking a lot, but I don' want to burn the engine if I can help it.
Thanks in advanced, and keep us posted on that beast of a 3.0!

Initial advance isn't gonna burn the engine up- its occurs with low piston speeds.. If you experience ping either drop it back a bit or slow down the curve with a spring change.
The 3 liter will never be a production engine, its just my toy and there are so many hours in an engine like this that I'd have to sell it for 40K bucks to make a dime..

Nope...
Not at all... But I'll be working normal human hours and thats gonna make my wait list get longer...
I'm putting all my effort into the Turbo research and finishing my manuals and the Performamnce engine rebuild video.....
I personally only build the most detailed "Super Hero" engines and I'll probably be designing and prepping those here and then assembling them in my clean room in the basement of the new house then bringing them back here for dyno and shipment.. These engines take me months to finish anyway, so it will work out well.... I will be choosing the owners of "Super Heros" more closely now, since I will only be able to turn out about 1/2 as many as I have in the past per year...

Wisdom none the less.
I have to give it to you, Jake. When you find what you understand to be a good thing, from my observations, you do what is needed for you to succeed at that thing. I congratulate you on the many wise choises you have made. It's nice to know someone my age that is not a waist.
I have a few great ideas if you ever feel up to a challenge.
Keep moving forward.

Jake, How are you defining "Super Hero" these days? I remember when you first coined the name it included the 2316, which seems to have become more of a production engine. Not to be little it in anyway, but it is not one of those that take a zillion hours. Since the Super Hero was born you have broken ground with alot more developement, and I know there is more in the future with the rockers etc.
