Type IV Turbo kit price target?

Post by randyj »

Hey Jake,

I know that you are very early in your design of your Type IV turbo kits but do you have a pricing target that you could share?

Thanks,
Randy

5K

That includes everything from a DTM/EFI/TURBO/INTERCOOLER. The EFI system comes with direct fire and comes pre-programmed with a ton of fuel MAPS that I'll be working hard to attain.

This entire arrangement will be an engineered unit, no parts omitted and non substituted. All you need is a longblock, either stock or Performance.

A stock engine @ 8 PSI boost will generate 165HP with this arrangement.

My 2081 built to maximize the Turbo arrangement *should* generate 325HP at the rear wheels....

Very comprehensive testing of this system will begin in about a week! I have 4 stock engines rounded up to totally compromise finding the limits of boost and when things start to happen that compromises the engines(stock).

Jake,

Still keeping the discussion hypothetical because all is subject to change:

1. Are you thinking of air-to-air or air-to-water intercooler?

2. Is the header included?

3. Will parts for the kit be available through the store?

Thanks,
Randy

I'm all teary eyes now. DAYUM! For the price, and what one gets it's a steal. Are you testing any engines in the 1910 size jake? I'm thinking I can keep the parts I had from the other engine and later on get some heads from Len and the turbo kit and really do something.

Jake, does that include the header for turbo? probably not. Are you going to offer a turbo header at the store for this setup ?

Yes, it includes the Turbo header and all other parts.
It's made for you to rip your current engine(longblock) from the vehicle, install ALL my parts and drive away- all you need is fuel lines.

Jake, you're killing me man! lol I love it all! I definitely will think about this for the 1910 parts I have. Just add PN huh?

That is a very, very , very good price for al that is offered. Heck, I may try it on the 2270( I know, I know)

It's all projections at this point from computer modeling and past experiences.

I am taking this Turbo testing very seriously, something I have no done thus far.

Will there be a turbo setup for a 2270 like mine? Sounds like a lot of (extra) fun :D

I have to ask Jake. How do you get the 2081 size? Glad you're feeling better
