Hi all, have a couple of questions on this installation. Where does the throttle cable tube exit at the rear (or rather front) of the shroud? I know it's directly under the cooler pod but is is angled to the left at all (as per the original but higher hole)? Anyone have any pics or a description?

I also have some catching of the right hand joint on the alternator backing plate as per the (very large) pic. I have an alloy one on order from Jake but will I have the same problem with that? The pedestal wont move any further forward either.

Thanks

Some shrouds have this issue, but it is easy to remedy, simply re-drill a hole through the bell crank mount about 3/8" closer to the rear of the car to move the pivot back. The alloy backing plate makes the situation less notable because it is thinner in that area than the stock plate.

The instructions give thorough reference to where the holes should be drilled for the best throttle cable position through the shroud. Some common sense will be a necessity, however. The cable will come out of the shroud just below the oil cooler housing and just above the bellhouse of the engine flange..

Way not just mount the ball upside down and snap the rod on
from the bottom? Wouldn't that give the necessary clearance?

Good point Don. I was thinking of doing that with mne for the driver's side rod. Jake, any issues you forsee with doing that?
